Passages Hospice Strengthens Ethics Initiatives

Passages Hospice has engaged Ethical Advocate, a North Carolina firm specializing in promoting ethical behavior, legal compliance and fraud prevention, to develop and supports an employee ethics program.

“We take great pride in providing a safe, productive and rewarding work experience,” said Michael Gillman, Passages Hospice Administrator.  “We value our staff and their feedback, and want to give them an appropriate way to share concerns.”

The Ethical Advocate program will join other Passages Hospice initiatives to ensure employee satisfaction, safety and compliance, including a 24-hour compliance hotline and a free Employee Assistance Program.

“Our leadership is committed to fostering an environment of highly ethical conduct,” said Dan Untch, Chief Compliance Officer for Passages Hospice. “Employees are asked to join in that commitment by reporting any problems or concerns through Ethical Advocate.”

Passages Hospice has an A+ rating the Better Business Bureau, and received an Honorable Mention in last year’s Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics. Staff will receive training in the new program over the next month.
